Sony A5100 vs Canon G7X vs Panasonic FZ200

Ok guys I made a new thread because I want to narrow it down to 3 camera comparisons. Which of these 3 cameras should I buy? Sony A5100, Canon G7X or the Panasonic FZ200? Which camera would you guys buy? A Large camera zoom is important to me so maybe I should get the FZ200 with it's larger zoom. But low light performance is also important to me, The G7X and the A5100 have better low light performance than the FZ200 because they have larger sensors. Is a larger zoom important to you guys? The G7X and A5100 have small zoom. I am not sure which camera to buy. Happy New Year 😀

Low light performce is only usefull if you take many pictures, when there's not much light.
In 99% of the time there is enough light (natural or artificial) to take good pics and video's.
If you could raise your budget a little you could go for the Panasonic FZ300. Very versatile with the same good and fast 24x zoomlens as the FZ200.
This camera has much more interresting abd better features than the FZ200 (f.i. 4K video)
Happy New Year and a healthy 2016.

So should I get the Canon G7X instead of the FZ200? Even though a G7X has small zoom.

When you narrow it down to two cameras, be sure to create another thread.

It comes down to this; what's more important, low-light or zoom.
You have picked the exact middle of the road for each.
The G7X is purportedly great - but i'd ignore it since it's not that best at either you want.

So, I'll repeat what I said in the other thread you created: Pick the A5100.

1. It has best low light.
2. You can buy another lens to make it have more zoom for $200 ( 55-210 = > 300mm )

If you want zoom and take photos in good light and don't want to worry about ever buying another lens, then get the FZ200. I've seen some nice, in good light, photos taken with it.

Disagree.
Whenever you're outside, in sunlight, this is true.

However, as soon as people are in shade, small sensor compacts start falling apart.

Of course you can mitigate this with flash.

It's true what you say, but people that like their smartphone pics, will also like foto's with a small sensor camera. (and that's the vast majority of people taking pics)
It's all a question of perception.

Just buy the one you think will work best for you. Return it and try the next one if it doesn't work out. You could read reviews and ask for advice for months missing many photo opportunities in the meantime.

Dudes not asking about smartphone pics.

If you want smartphone pics, take smartphone pics.
