That's interesting. I just got back from Sam's Club. I was looking at VCRs. They had only two. No Sony.

I guess this is Sam's online. I'll have to check further. I have to buy a VCR this week.

Good deal, but i couldn't find it either. I just ended up ordering the Philips S-VHS vcr from onecall.com for $136.xx shipped. I needed a new vcr and never had an SVHS vcr so thought i'd try one and you can use regular vhs tapes on it. I couldn't find a better price on an svhs unit.

I bought the Philips from Onecall also, great deal!! Comes with S-Video front and rear inputs plus the option for SVHS and all the other bells and whistles. It actually deserves it's own post instead of being buried here... think I'll take care of that....

I just got back from BB. I bought a Samsung w/universal remote for $59.99. This is to replace a Samsung that has a problem. After using it (and abusing it) for about 10 years, it's time. I don't know how in the world it lasted this long. Especially considering how I use it.

I remember my first VCR. Around 1980. COST $750.00. Haven't we come a long way with VCRs?

I saw it in Parklane store, Dallas, TX. Still remember I paid $400 for my Hi-Fi VCR :)
