I am torn between the two. I've been gaming on a 19" CRT Syncmaster for the longest time, I'm not sure which of these two choices have higher image quality? I'm definitely going to use it mostly for gaming, and I was hoping for some intelligent input.

Sorry, Sony 24" CRT Widescreen, and Gateway 21" LCD. There should only be one of each.

The Sony 24" would have better resolution scaling for gaming so if that's important to you I'd go with the CRT. Is it a refurb though? FW900 is the model, correct?

As for color brightness between the two? I have no clue to be honest. And what video card do you have?

Yes, it'd be refurb'ed. What do you mean by resolution scaling? I didn't think they'd be any different in that aspect. (If it means what I think it does)

The Sony would be refurb and Gateway would be new?

Resolution scaling is the versatility of being able to clearly run multiple resolutions. I haven't heard good things about refurbs (mainly bluriness, bad geometry, bad brightness) so I'd stay away from them unless you know the seller is reliable and has sold lots of good monitors.

I've heard mutually exclusive stuff about the Gateway 21" LCD. Search 'Gateway' in LCD thread for the reviews.
