Hi,
I havent been able to get my sony 1611 working in windows xp. When the computer first boots, the cdrw is shown in the ide devices listing during post, and will allow you to boot directly from a cd; however, as soon as it enters windows it detects that the Sony 1611 drive is there, then detects that a cd-rom drive has been found and says it needs drivers. So i choose, search for the best drivers. It finds all of them except imap.sys which it is looking for on the windows xp cd. I cant get it to work though, because it wont detect my cd rom is there to install the drivers from. Any ideas?
(P.S. - When i go to My Computer it wont list the cdrw there, and ive tried adding and removing it but it always does the same)
