Hulu only has like 5 episodes, but I would recommend waiting until closer to season two, this waiting fucking sucks.

haha, try only two episodes. My friends and I started to watch it on Hulu, then got bummed looking for episode 3. Somebody had to provide the other ep. by other means.
The show seriously rocks. It's not perfect, but hell, it is addictive.
 
It seems like they're just going to patch up the clay killled opie's wife thing and put it on the backburner and introduce this neo-nazis as this season's bad guy.

I wish they'd work on giving a good resolution to the story threads they do have rather than introduce new ones - then again, I've never seen a tv show that worked that way.

Still a great show and a good ep.

It's not going to be on the backburner for long, did you see the previews? As far as Op knows Clay had nothing to do with it, and the static between Jax and Clay because of it, Op says something to CLay along the lines of "I got your back" regarding Jax being confrontational against Clay. It's going to be a bloody season.

go watch season 1 on hulu. probably not completely necessary, but you'll get some background on the characters ... and season 1 was really good.

Yea, season 1 is definitely worth watching. It starts a little slow the first few episodes, but once it gets going, it moves fast. I don't know if I'd say it's The Shield good, but it's working on it.
 
I kind of like this show in spite of myself.

I grew up around 1% bikers, used to party with members of a couple different clubs...all with Hell's Angels charters, some WERE Hell's Angels.

IMO, nearly all were very good people...who could be very bad when they wanted/needed to. Great folks to have on your side in a bar fight. 😀

For whatever reason, the folks in SoA just don't resemble bikers in any way other than outward appearance...and even then, just barely.
Still...I've grown to LIKE this show. When it first came out, all I could see were the tons of inaccuracies...more or less the same way geeks tend to dislike shows that are technologically inaccurate. (look cool/fun/whatever to the rest of us...uneducated masses) but geeks KNOW they're wrong/inaccurate/impossible/whatever, and deride them because "they know better."
(those kinds of shows are dissed on here all the time...you know who you are) 😛
The drama of the show is decent, the characters, in spite of being (for me) unbelievable, are still fairly well acted, and for a weekly "soap opera" type of show...it's not that bad.
 
Sons of Anarchy is sort of a fantastical construction--it's not meant to be about bikes, but gun trafficking I think, with bikes used as the major form of transport.
