i've read that the integraded graphics (GMA) will support windows longhorn, correct me if i'm wrong.

I would suggest that you wait until Windows Vista is released. All the promises and features that MS promises are worth less than zilch (look at the initial list of features and compare to the now likely feature set). Besides, what does Longhorn offer you that XP doesn't?

It does offer a much easier to use explorer, MUCH better rights management, a better deployment solution then past versions, and will supposedly show better over all performance then XP...those are just a few things I can think of off the top of my head.

Use Stardock or some 3rd party to customize XP OR if Vista is a concern, wait till "Ready for Longhorn" stickers appear on computers (and they will). Last I heard, most OEMs were getting ready to cash in on the Vista Ready marketing in the Fall or Winter of this year or early next year.

Last I heard, Christmas 06. Thanksgiving 06 maybe.
