thanks. downloading Sonic now. on the fence about the collection. Shinobi, Shadow Dancer, Golden Axe...oh man, loved those back in the days
 
Anyone with a soul will absolutely love this game. At this price I'm temped to get a PC copy to go along with my copy I have for the xbox 360. Between this and Rayman Origins (which is being released next Thursday for PC) I somehow managed to keep some hope for gaming beyond the increasingly boring "bro-shooter" genre. Ugg, here I go again, I'm going to be humming the theme from Green Hill Zone the rest of the day now.
 
Ok yeah the reviews state xbox controllers are a go, and the pc version pwns the consoles with better resolution and much higher frame rates .
 
just played the first level of this game. man it's fun. some ghosting on my dell u2410 in gaming mode though.
 
OMFG!! this is sonic for sega genisis on steroids! holy shit, i had no idea. this brings me back 20 years to my childhood... what an absolutely KICK ASS game! they did such a good job at capturing what made sonic, SONIC!

no ghosting here on my 42" lcd tv. the game needs a fast system though, on high detail with no AA my 4870/i3 system just isnt enough. ill try lowering it to medium settings later. i mean its fine but there are plenty of areas where you notice slowdown and thats not acceptable in sonic

well, i think i might try turning off vsync first. but WOW. this game is balls out awesome. $7? you kidding me? god i love sega

I know right, I got a nice warm fuzzy feeling inside the first time I jumped with retro Sonic and it used the Genesis sound effect 😀
