One of my local rock stations just started playing Holy Diver by Dio pretty heavily a few years ago. If I had heard it before, I didn't know it well enough to recognize it. And I used to listen to that rock station 8 hours a day at work.

Funny that you say that, because my local rock station has been doing the same thing for the past few months. I hear that song at least 2-3 times per week and I only listen to the station for ~5 hours per week.

I always thought it was Take A Picture. Education at its finest.

I don't usually find "new" old stuff, but everyone once in a while I'll fall in love with an old album again. Stroke 9's Nasty Little Thoughts is a prime example of this. I liked it when I first heard it years ago and was really into it, then it went by the wayside until a few months ago and I freaking love it now.

not just this song, but ANY song that is on a guitar hero game is starting to get more airplay, I hear Godzilla by BOC more often now than ever

I do notice Guitar Hero songs more now (and play the "guitar" in my head)... but I noticed Holy Diver getting more airplay before Guitar Hero came out, and before it was remade by some band I've never heard of.
