Songs that "move" me do so often because of some ingenious melody lines or because they're upbeat/positive. Means that a good dance/trance track can move me more than some Hippy songs.

I just discovered this gem which I totally missed in the 2000s, probably because this was at the time when I moved to the States where EU dance music didn't exist really.
It's incredibly cheesy, almost to a point that you want to vomit....but nevertheless it's absolutely effing awesome:

Brooklyn Bounce - Bass, Beats & Melody

Another song which is still one of my favorites because of the melody and the cool video, also cheesy:
Sash! - Ecuador
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44t3xc_XDes
and
Paffendorf - Where are you?
(It is incredibly cheesy and "bad" measured on any standard but there is also this incredibly catchy melody line in the middle of the song which I love)

Besides those cheesy dance tracks, I absolutely LOVE some of John Williams' sound tracks, in particular
Jurrassic Park - End Credits

VNV Nation
Also has a number of songs which I consider incredibly moving, in parts also because they bring back certain memories. This one is just amazing and probably fits the "moving" criteria best, shivers down the spine :)

oh, and of course:

Apoptygma Berzerk - Until The End Of The World

The whole point of music is it is supposed to evoke an emotion in one way or another.

If it does not, you're doing it wrong.
