Songs that give you the chills

November rain when it first came out.... I was like 12 and loved that kind of music.

Metallica - Fade to black
Mad at Gravity - undefined Reversion
Dispatch - Hey Hey
Diapatec - Two Coins

Not chills, but.....

Since I have become a father (my son will be 3 in April) I recently caught the video for Faster Pussycat's "House of Pain" (I hadn't seen it in years)

Darn song/video made me tear up! (It is about a boy who grows up in a broken home without his father)

Cats in the Cradle... doesn't matter who sings it.... ugly kid joe, Harry chapin.... this one section always gets me..

I've long since retired and my son's moved away.
I called him up just the other day.
I said, "I'd like to see you if you don't mind."
He said, "I'd love to, dad, if I could find the time.
You see, my new job's a hassle, and the kid's got the flu,
But it's sure nice talking to you, dad.
It's been sure nice talking to you."
And as I hung up the phone, it occurred to me,
He'd grown up just like me.
My boy was just like me.

ya that song is too good...i just feel depressed all over after hearing it.

do you mean like lyrical chills, that you hear the lyrics and think it somewhat relates to you and you shudder because its so creepy? or like chills from a certain riff or part of the song that for no unexpected reason makes you get it? if its the latter reason, it would have to be rolling stones - paint it black.

If you liked Hurt and Closer you'd like The Great Below by NIN's later album. Pretty chilling

Yes, I like the Ugly Kid Joe version.

Harry Chapin live version is far more emotional to me.
