I'm not a big music person so I don't really know artists and genres and whatnot... I've listened to songs like these recently and I'd like to know what other songs are similar to my taste.

I know most of them are overplayed radio songs or whatever, as that's usually where I heard them first, but to me they're pretty new since I don't really listen to the radio... Thanks for any suggestions

There are much better 3 doors down songs, you may want check out their entire albums.

If you like acoustic guitar rock you need to check out Days of the New (just their first album) and Alice in Chains: Unplugged.
Not that I really think either sound like the songs you mentioned, but There are several 3 doors down songs that remind me of both of these bands.
