tradition at school to make presentation of the senior class childhood - present, i am trying to think of some good music, here is what im planning

all pink floyd

INtroduction/Senior photographs: "In the flesh?" or i could do "In the flesh" 😉 (wall)
Baby - Toddler: "The Thin ice" (wall)
toddler - elementarly: "High Hopes" (division bell)
elementary thru highschool: "the final cut" or "the gunners dream" (the final cut)
Senior Portraits: "Terminal frost" or possibly "paranoid eyes" (AMLOR and the final cut)
Ending slides: "two suns in the sunset" (the final cut)


think my generation will go for it?

and im not sure how my school aministration will go for the lyrics to some of these songs, this will be played at class day

btw, HS

anyinput would be appreciated, im project manager of it
 
Every generation should be able to appreciate Pink Floyd, if not something is wrong IMO 🙂

you want a song that will make poeple cry?
if you do then do the slow song from gladiator, and then do slow pics of happy times. works for every vid ive done.

eye of hte tiger is good but you have to do fast pics, but works better for time lapsed...

sweet, i did not even think of using pigs on the wing I/II, but cant use Another Brick in the wall II, was on it year before last
 
I think Auld Lang Syne should be in there somewhere. It's a nice song to say goodbye to.

Ok, maybe you should use "Time" instead, that would be better than "Us and Them" I think as well.

Ozzy Osbourne: Goodbye to Romance. (seriously...listen to it and tell me it's not a hell of an excellent "goodbye" song)
 
for our 8th grade picture slide show...we used a bunch of james taylor songs..

the day we showed it...it almost felt like we were watching a slide show about forest gump. hehe..we used a lot of songs from the soundtrack.

so long ago....almost 10 years i think. wow...

The high school I graduated from had a local company make videos and slide shows for many occasions - DARE graduation (and moving from middle school to high school), special awards ceremonies, and of course, the graduation slideshows like you are talking about. Fortunately, that company was acquired and their results have been less than acceptable, and the school decided to drop them. A friend and I happen to be starting a business incorporating this exact thing... so looks like we get to start creating videos and slideshows like mad in late April or early May.

I discovered that the former company used Rod Stewart's 'Forever Young' way too much... good song; they just used it in nearly everything they made.
 
Nothing contemporary. That means, no Vitamin C or Linkin Park or any of that. Stick with classics and oldies!!

jk I always say that when someone names a band/group like that. The other one that really pisses people off is when I tell them hendrix sucks. The look on their faces BAWAAAHAHAHA
