Hello - I wanted to consult with the community for any ideas why my old case, which I searched online to get an idea of what to sell for on eBay, shows up for $700 on Amazon. It's listed, of course, by a different seller than Amazon. There is another online reseller listing for $300. I only paid $130 new for the case. Why would it be listed for so much more than I paid? I can't find anyone else selling on eBay, either - only that one reseller. Is it because it's a 'hard to find' item or some other reason? Here is the link I'm referring to. thanks for any insight.

It's not only lifespans of tech items that follow a "bathtub curve"... so do prices.

And yes, once something is "out of production", prices shoot through the roof, it seems, mostly, while there still might be an interest in those items. Witness Z97 motherboards selling for $400, or Antec PSUs of various older types selling new for hundreds of dollars.
