Hi Folks,

After a round of trouble shooting I realized that the little "English" I have to use to line up the x800 vidcard hole with the case securing screw is unseating the video card. Seems the case slot panel just a bit too "out".

Is this a common issue? Is there a way to adjust the case slot panel inwards a little bit so I can secure the card to the case? I hate to leave it unsecured but I need my computer working :)

Any help much appreciated!

At this very moment, 2:40PM PST.

Eight threads down the page is a P-180 with the same problem.
A solution is offered in that thread. Pics too!! ( I love my Lian Li ) :D

TAke your card out, and with some needle nose pliers, ever so gently (as not to damage your hardware) bend the screw tab on the Vid card out away from the card, so that that way it is not pulling back, raising the back end of the card out of the slot.

Called antec and they are working on it, said it was the first they had heard of it! Nice folks, so far;)

I will send them a link to this thread also!

looks like a different problem :(

Mine seats fine, however the card screw hole does not line up with the case screwhole. The outer edge of the card slot covers the case screw hole, and if I push out a little to line up the holes it unseats the card.

I took a few pics to fully explain the issue:

Pic 1 - shows the mis-alignment (see the red arrow)

Pic 2 - taken with a flash, washes it out a bit but also shows the misalignment

Pic 3 - a close-up, shows the misalignment and what I noticed when I took the pics, what looks like a bow outward on the panel.

It does look bowed.

Have you placed a stright edge on the rear outside of the case in this area to check for true?

I hate having to repair new things when it's not my fault.

I'm curious...have you tried any cards in your PCI slots to see if they line up?

The last pic shows a hint of bowing but that could be a camera artifact.

I stuck in a network card and it also did not line up, though to a lesser extent.

loosen all mobo screws, press the board towards the rear of the case, hold it, and tighten screws... maybe that'll give you enough headroom. The screw holes are a bit bigger letting you have some play room to seat the board, but might off set it.

My 2 cents.

Well no word back from Antec yet - looks like it is getting bounced around. I will try and reposition the Mobo if they fail me.

Thanks-
