Sonata Antec II Case Question?

I can't seem to figure out where the blue and black wire with the 3 prong female ending goes on the motherboard? My MoBo is an Epox N9PA Ultra... any good guesses?

Looks like it could be a fan sensor... where would I hook it up?

It's a fan speed signal and ground. Plug it into your motherboard's fan headers so you can see the RPMs of the PSU fans.

Fan Headers??? you mean place the fans can hook into? I am a newb. There is a "fan Header" for an addition fan hookup... would this be the fan header I am looking to hook into?

VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!


Only plug those in to check the rpm of the fan of your PSU, otherwise pull them back out. The fan would be stuck on HIGHEST if the blue and black wires are connected. Just leave the wires disconected when not checking rpm.

Most newer motheboards have at least three 3-pin connectors for connecting fans. They are commonly labeled "fan" or "sysfan1" "sysfan2" etc. Plug it in and power the system back on and fan will operate.

Right. For some reason, the latest Antec SP 2.0 line kicks up the fan when the RPM (blue/black) is plugged in. The power supply will function fine without it. Note the second fan will only kick in when needed.
