Sonata and nForce4 boards

I am waiting to buy an nForce4-based motherboard and inted to use it with an Antec Sonata PSU (included in the case). Now, I hear that most of the newer boards are 24-pin, but the Sonata only has a 20-pin connector.

Some of the newer boards (such as the Gigabyte nForce4 board) say that they will also support 20-pin connectors, which is good. However, I've heard some stories of the connector running hot in that scenario.

Can anybody comment whether my Sonata will work with these new boards?

The case should be fine. You MIGHT need/want a new power supply when you can actually get the new mobo. The Antec Neo Power PSU comes with the 24 pin connection (adapter to go to the 20 pin included) so it's ready for the next round of connections on mobo's...

Once you have the new mobo try it with the adapter (if it comes with one). If you don't like the result, just get a new PSU that supports the connection right out of the box.

Well, my question was mostly concerning the PSU. I know that case will be fine 😉

I just got the Sonata, so I'd really like to use that PSU.
