I died in a new area of the game and it locked up and gave a critical error message. Now when I try to reload my guy it locks up about 1/2 way through and gives me the same error message. Terrain.mpq or some extension like that. Anyway. I had a level 10 guy and now I have to start over. Anyone have this happen to them or heard about it? It isa HUGE bug if its not fixable!
 
Start over? I assume you tried rebooting, right? Also, just reinstall the client....it better than starting over.
 
Most games have a folder for saved games.

I'd copy it somewhere safe, and reinstall.
 
I don't know what the problem is. Even if you have to reload the client, all the player stats/level/etc. is stored server side, so you shouldn't lose a thing.
