im selling a computer on ebay, and i clearly stated that i only ship to the united states...guess what happens?

yep, some asshat in britain bought it.

should i refuse to sell it to him and offer it to the next highest bidder? should i make him pay for the ass-raping of a shipping charge, plus delivery confirmation and full insurance? maybe i should do that, all that crap will cost more than the computer, that will teach him a lesson....

email the guy first. tell him that because he didn't read the item description, you have to overcharge for shipping (as stated in the OP) because your shipping fees on your description, if any, were for US buyers only. overcharge him totally. then tell him that if he is not willing to cooperate, you'll file a complaint with ebay because he didn't read the item description.

there's no way to guarantee that you won't get negative feedback. it's a risk you're going to take. you can always comment to the feedback that the item description said that you'd ship within the US only. however, you probably don't have to worry about getting negative feedback anyway -- most people won't do that, especially when they've realize that they erred. hopefully, your guy is just an idiot but not a jacka$$.
