27 days ago I turned on my computer and 1 hour ago it (finally) "crashed". Every second of that 27 days had seti running also. 🙂 Not bad concidering that I am running Windows ME on my rig.

27 days for ME????? OMG man that has to be a record! Were you doing anything else on it or did it only do seti?

I used it probably 5 hours per day, some of which quit heavy use. I couldnt believe it either, my previous best was 3 days. I'm going to post over in operating systems and see if anybody else has got that high.

That is approximately 647hours more than my computer has ever run Windows ME.

😎
47 +/- 3 more hours and my ME will have surpassed that 🙂

However it is absolutely and 100% a crunching machine. No sound/fancy video/USB or anything else enabled. Just a dedicated SoB puter with a celery 2GHz @ 2.88GHz and 128MB of DDR ram.
I am thinking with no overhead it might go another 30 days.

Glad to hear about your very unique milestone. 🙂

<rant>At least you're not like the typical uninformed ATOTer, and thus you're not going on to conclude that since you got good uptime with Windows ME that "its a great OS, even better than win2k/xp, and its still the best OS evah for gaming!"

I've even had people tell me that because I could never get Win98/ME to run for longer than a day without going wierd and finally crashing, that it must be something that's wrong with me, while the OS is just fine. Excuse me, but anyone who knows the slightest bit about the internals of Win9x won't buy into that BS.</rant>

Ok, sorry, had to get that out of my system... 😱

Anyway, good morning (if it's just now morning where you're at), and good luck (upgrading that system to Windows 2000 so you can get uptimes that are 3X as long as that). 😉 😛
