my bike is parked out back where people throw furniture out. When i got back, there was a fairly new microwave and window a/c unit. both pretty new and clean. it was hell carrying up that a/c though, but it feels like i just found 300-400 bucks on the ground. The best part is..I need both of these items. woot woot! :)

I'm a big time scavenger. It's like winning the lottery on a micro scale. Your winnings aren't earth shattering, but you didn't piss away money donating to the government either, and you won. That's more than most lottery winners can say. Congrats :^)

Ask and you shall receive.

I had a similar situation at a second hand store. Found this Toshiba tablet-like device that uses a Toshiba laptop so you mirror its screen with the laptop via WIFI. Payed about $10. Looked it up on eBay and it sold for over $200. So I sold it to a guy on eBay in a French coastal city for over $200 and he used it for his boat. I needed the money too.

the microwave and window unit were right where i park my bicycle in the back of my apartment building.

So I just got back from the beer store again and I sold a ductless a/c to the variety store beside the beer store. woot!

i'm on fire guys. Gonna install it on monday :) easy money :) best part is..the store is the end unit on this strip mall...very straightforward.

When you buy enough beer, your ARE the beer store. :D

Actually when I was a kid I had this obsession with wanting to build a trailer for my bike. I sorta did, but having no access to any real tools it was basically a wagon pulled by a hockey skate lace. If I stopped too fast it would crash in my back tire and the stuff would fall off. But I did use it to haul stuff from yard sales etc.

Eventually used it mostly at camp for tree related loads. Then realized it was easier to just tie the branches/trees directly to the rope and forget to wagon. :p Then I got lazy and just used the four wheeler.

No need for Noah's ark just yet...as usual Torontonians over react. Atleast we didn't call in the army this time :)

From what I saw in the news it looks pretty bad but that might have been Quebec too, they were kind of talking about that whole general area that is getting floods. Seems some places are getting hit quite hard. I'll take the snow, they can keep the flooding. :p
