Sometimes I LOVE working retail!

So, my store has been the victim of a CRAPLOAD of theft. We've had 10 grand in games stolen this month alone.

I found the remains of a Playstation Portable in my section a few weeks ago, and apparently one of my coworkers managed to scare off someone stealing a 7800GT OC, and the guy only managed to get off with the accessories.

Fast-forward to today. I see the BFG 7800GT OC on the shelf, Open box. Priced at 399.99. I comment to myself

"Damn, if that was 300 bucks, I'd get it."

My manager hears me, and says, "SOLD!"

Whoa. 600 dollar video card for half price, without all the useless accessories! SCORE!

I like how you considered losing out on the accessories a plus. Sorry, the logic does not work that way. Now if you said something like "I got laid and I didn't have to waste the time and money to take the girl out to dinner" then it'd make more sense.

I think Horus is furiously looking for his reciept so he can return it tomorrow. Good work guys!

you paid retail n00b.

Read- CANADIAN, folks. the retail price on these things where I work (And even the sale ones) is between 499-599

Accessories I lost out on:

2 DVI to VGA adapters: I use an LCD, and will only be using an LCD
1 Molex to PCI-express power adapter: I have a PCI-express power adapter on my PSU already
That's ALL that was lost. And because of that, the price went down 300 dollars. Which makes me happy.

EDIT: This is the CHEAPEST price I've found for these things. Good 'ol Canada Computers.

Damn, where do you work? How can you guys still be in business when you've had 10 grand in games stolen? Anyway, congrats on the great deal for a 7800GT!

I have never had a single day where i have enjoyed retail. I did it for 7 years, and im currently unemployed hunting for work because the only thing available in this horrible town is retail work.
