I'm only 19, but damn, my body thinks it's eighty. I have joint problems, my knees, hips, back, shoulders are everything else crack and pop when I move, and I can no longer survive on just a few hours of sleep every night. But then, on nights like tonight, when it's 2 am, and I get hungry, and my "midnight" snack consists of left-over atomic chicken riggies, I realize I still have a ways to go before I'm "over the hill." Thank god my digestive system can still handle the stuff I love best. It will be a sad day indeed when I am unable to eat jalepeno bean burritos or 25 hot wings before bed.

unless you have that genetic defect where you age superfast, 19 is not old. You shouldn't even feel old. It's probably because your ass is parked in front of your computer that you feel lathergic and weak. :Q

Dang, I'm over 40 and I still feel like a kid! I guess it's all genetics... people on both sides of my family live well past 90 so I guess I got a while to develop all those aches and pains. :D

Dude........, just the fact that you can eat any of the sh*t you do period is a frikin Godsend. I'm 19 and my body dosen't even work anymore! I have the same joint problems, tons of excess skin from a 150 pound weight loss (weight that was gained by a stomach infection that took 5 years to kill, those 5 years being the WORST of my life due to migraines(sp) and constant lack of energy).

I can't eat any form of wheat, rice or potao, period..........

So basicly I'm a bloated sack who can't eat anything but meal replacement shakes, chiken and raw vegetables.........

I'm SO ready to die........

Ha! Yes, because so much of my time is spent in front of the computer. I go to college full time, run cross country (and if you can even walk the distances I run every day I'd be surprised), work whenever I'm not in class, visit my girlfriend when I'm not doing any of that, and I'm on my computer maybe a few hours a week. I never said I feel lethargic or weak; I said I ache a lot and need more sleep. So maybe when you can run 50 miles per week and run a 8K cross country race on Saturday and a 14K road race on Sunday, with appropriate training for both, then you can tell me I spend too much time on the computer.

No, I feel old because running makes me sore, and until I'm in tip-top shape my legs and hips like to complain, and the stress of doing so many things at once takes its toll on my mind and body. Not to mention I am in the process of recovering from a knee injury, so I have to nurse that joint and make sure it doesn't bother me. And every so often it all adds up and I just don't feel like I'm as young as I am. You know, 19 is when I should be out partying, living like there's no tomorrow, and not having to worry about if it's past my bedtime. But everything just adds up now and then, especially at the beginning of the school year when I'm not in optimum shape and I'm still trying to get my schedule worked out, and bam! Instant age.
