Something wrong with this?

Two cops came over to my friends apartment complex and picked up (cuffed and hauled to county) some guy for not paying his seat belt ticket. That ordeal took a matter of 45 minutes to an hour.

Does anyone else see something wrong with this?

Makes sense to me, often times there is more going on but they use something else that is valid but smaller as the reason to bring someone in. May not be the case here but it could be.

If you don't pay your tickets for long enough you can get a warrant for your arrest.

It's not that hard, pay the ticket, or it will snowball.

He should have paid.

dont pay the ticket, you get a warrant out for your arrest. im guessing the person arrested was not a stranger to the court system.

Sure they could have just let him go... paying your tickets should be on the honor system. 😉

I have a feeling the penalty for failure to appear is probably a lot more than the seatbelt ticket.
