Hi all,
I hope somebody could gave me an explanation about my problem.
Here is the brief desc.
Yesterday, I installed linux in my PIII 700 box with voodoo3 using my other hard drive.
after the installation success and playing with linux for a while then I change the hd with my other one contains win2K advance server.
The problem start when my win2k can not boot in windows mode only in command line mode (like dos mode). I could go into bios and the computer bootup correctly until windows startup screen, after progress bar then the system just booting up from beginning again.
i've tried to repair my win2k already and no result
I tried with different vid card and could boot win2k correctly but not with my voodoo3.
However, my voodoo3 could run linux with no problem whatsoever.
Anybody could tell me what's happen with my voodoo3 and tell me how to fix the problem ?

Thanks
Flippo

Change any bios settings? Go into the bios and see if you have an option to turn on/off ACPI, if you do turn it on and try again. Older GX1 Dells have that same problem when upgrading to W2k from 95/98, just keeps rebooting over and over and over and over......

Ahh, I had that problem, But, I don't know if it had anything to do with my videocard, My dad had to reinstall W2K when that happened.

Thanks a lot JD ...
I solved the problem with setting the ACPI back on, I remember when installing linux I set ACPI off in the bios
