Something wrong w/ Kingmax PC3500 Memory?

Nothing. I just got their PC4000 stuff thats $103 for 512 and it runs great and OC's to PC4400 levels np...

same question...planning to get 2 of the 512MB sticks for overclocking of an A64 3400 or 3500.

It's probably fine, they're just trying to entice you into buying by having a low price instead of being flashy or cool like other companies.

My Kingmax PC4000 stuff that I bought it still running great at 2.5,4,4,10 @ 245.

I have that same ram, and from what I've heard you can either get lucky or unlucky. I got unlucky. I can't run stable at any voltage over 170 fsb (I'm running 166 at cas 2.2.2.6 stock voltage). Others can apprently get well beyond the ddr433 speeds when loosening the cas latency, and are rather lucky. At newegg you see a bunch of people from both catagories, so I'd say it's 50/50 you'll get good stuff.

I'm not too unhappy about my misfortune, however. It can do 170 at excellent latency's (though this is my first build so I assume you can with any ram), and it's super cheap. You might be better off buying good value ram, but I've had no experience with it so it's really up to you.

yeah, since 433 is what PC3500 is spec'd to run. If you cant reach spec RMA that crap.
