something weird

my computer always does this weird thing out of nowhere when I start it up, it goes through POST, and goes to the blue loading bar with windows xp pro, and than makes a restarting noise, and just reboots, this has happened a lot, and i always just reformat and it fixes it, but it was fine for 3 months, and it just now started doing this, i have a tyan mobo with dual 1800+ mp's, they run at 51 celcius and 61 celcius, any ideas?

well, that temp is pretty hot for the cpu's, but i dont think it'll cause the weird booting. it may be because of software problems. can you give us more detail about your computer. try running memtest. i'm pretty sure its not hardware because after you reformat, it runs fine. btw, welcome to the forums. 🙂

The brand/model/wattage of the PSU is of particular interest, so don't leave it out either 🙂 The Tyan dualies had a reputation for being hard on RAM, so if you're about to go to bed, first download Memtest86 and make a bootable Memtest floppy or CD, and let it check out your memory overnight.
