Something to ponder?

Before I go to bed tonight
I think I'll tell you I'm alright,
and in the midst of rain and light
that dims slowly from my sight
my thoughts reach a new height
as I pit my mind against the might
of the desire to post on ATOT all night.

and now I realize that my brain works faster than I think,
running circles that catch up with one another and link
together united, yet still struggling to catch the plink
the snap, the crunch like the skater on the ice rink

as she falls in the midst of a dizzying spin.

Goodnight.

I'll let you guys consume my words....my gf is going to consume, uhhh, something else 😀

sharing means caring.... pix?
Maybe within the month.

Words first.

Remember.

Words.

here's a word for u... pix?
I'm going to bed now....but I'll leave you with some words.

Earlier today my roommate told me that he "needed to beat quake 1 so he could download quake 2."

I replied "has your need transcended your ability to choose."

"wah, uhh, no." He replied. "In fact, I always have the ability to choose."

"True, you always have the ability to choose, but it is just as important to realize that there are many things you cannot choose. It's not your choice that the moon rotates around the earth, or that Bob, in Okshocken IL, named his dog Roger. Attempting to change these things through choice would be a waste of effort. However, we can choose how we react to these things. It is important that we figure out the things that we have influence over, and choose to put our efforts into those, instead of putting effort into things that we have no control over. A wise man once said 'there is a gap between stimulus and response - and in that gap is choice.'"

Go to sleep before you have me dizzy from reading poems. LOL! I've never been very good with appreciating poems.

Hope you have a good sleep and dream of poems if that makes sense. 😱

Oops! Someone's bumping an old thread. Not bad. This will be my good night thread from now on. 😉

I'm going to bed now, but I wrote another poem if any of you care here it is:

what words could express

the quiet ache that builds in my soul
like a grey rain drop falling from the blue sky
onto the soft earth torn open for sowing

and the beating of the sun as it lifts the moisture
back into the sky, cycling between love and hope
and the genesis of a new life buried, growing
