I got a Socket 754 type system (see sig) that i built back in November. I always have upgradeitus so i started doing some research. I figured i'd probably have to wait until i could afford a whole new socket 939 type system, to justify the upgrade. Though i came across a new chip coming out (or maybe it is out) for Socket 754 that looks pretty nice, it's some kind of mobile A64 90nm CPU with 1mb l2 cache. Does the word Newark ring any bells? I'm kinda clueless about this chip as you probably noticed, i can't seem to find much info about it anywhere. What's the story with this CPU? Is it something to look forward to or should i just forget about it?
I was hoping that would be the way to go, then i wouldn't have to build a whole new system i could just replace my CPU. Assuming it's not something made up and is compatible
