something to easily remove tape stickiness?

im thinking of using velcro pads and/or duct tape and/or other types of tape to secure certain comp components to my desk (things like USB hubs, speakers, logitech mice cradles) that tend to like to move around ALOT to an annoying degree.

however, my hardware changes relatively frequently, and i am worried about ending up with velcro or tape stickiness that wont go away from device placement that i no longer use. these are wood/particle board surfaces

so any solvents to recommend?

This is going to sound weird, but the best thing that gets those stupid Blockbuster stickers on DVD cases or the even worse EB games stickers off video games is Bio-Sun sun tan cream.

It has a really thick texture that kind of just rubs off the stuff without damaging the surface of the DVD case. I have even used the stuff to remove stickers on a game I sold on Ebay as a "very good condition" unit. The results were very good, and I felt justified in labling the gane that way. I got excellent feedback on it. Honestly if you do it well you won't even be able to tell there was a sticker on it.

Wierd but it really works.

Now that I actually read your post, why not try that 3M command stuff. It sticks really well and it supposedly comes off very easily. I used two pieces of the stuff to stick a video game selector box underneath a shelf (basically hanging from it) and for two years the stuff has kept it there. I even had to mess with the connections on the back causing a good deal of stress on it as I pushed and pulled wires out of it. Apparently the stuff is designed to come right off if you pull on a tab that it has.
