Yeah. A basket that just got fucking raided. :'( You have it easy. You never had treats in the first place. I DID have some, but had to bear witness to the best of them being taken away. It's just like Chef's argument with giving a baby a lollypop.

Think about that for a minute before feeling sorry for yourself.
'Tis better to have had Reeses and lost, than to have never had Reeses at all.

Using food, or in this instance the taking of food, to exert or maintain dominance isn't exactly a new trick.

I hate to do this, but I'm going to spoil it for the OP. OP, there is no Easter Bunny. That candy in that basket... your mom bought it for you. Really.

Actually, I buy candy and hand it out to children, so I guess that sort of makes me the Easter Bunny. You know, if the Easter Bunny wore a trenchcoat and dark sunglasses and hung around school yards and play grounds.

Does this "candy" make them sleepy??

Fuck yeah. I turn 30 this year and my mom still insists on giving me a bag of candy every Easter. Free candy is free candy.

30? Haven't realized nothings free? Someone's paying for it somewhere....in this case your momma.

Oh how I wish I still lived in the same city as my family sometimes. I miss my Easter baskets :(

Cadbury Eggs used to be awesome, but they ruined them like 10 years ago or so by reformulating the goo inside of them to make it less tasty.

I always used to set the Peanut Butter cups on the top as a decoy so that they took the crappy stuff and left me the good stuff (skittles or runts)

That said, I no longer get easter baskets (nor have I for a number of years.) Also, my mother is welcome to take any candy she finds in my house, but, usually, when she comes over, I set a bowl of pistachios in front of her, so she is not likely to go searching for candy (also, I don't keep it in the house since I eat too much of it if it's there, and I do not need to eat any of it ever.)
