something keeps modifying the file I'm working on

I'm coding C++, all files are stored on my Linux server, I'm using dev C++ within windows. Every 5 seconds or so I keep getting a notice the file was modified by another program. i don't have it open in another program and nobody else has access. I even did a "who" just for kicks, and I'm the only user (if not, we have bigger issues!).

When I say yes to reload nothing really changes. I'm thinking something is like, modifying the date or something.

Look at the "dos filetime resolution" option in smb.conf.
