affluent whites, liberal and conservative alike, standing together, in unison, against the poor blacks. Yay!!!!!

Go troll elsewhere for the next month!
Bolded text = Words of a P&N moderator. Are you calling the moderator a liar, son?

I'd actually have to agree on this one. Your comments were absolutely out of context. Not only did you just start crap for the hell of it, you crapped in that thread, destroying it. A troll would be exactly the word to describe you - menacing, and trying to turn something into an argument that wasn't there before. You know you're just gonna get mocked now, and hat's your fault. Stop being such a damn attention whore.

Don't feel bad for me. I can take it. :) However I am disappointed, I expected more of you, atot.

You should never expect more, especially when you ask men about being raped by other men.

because male rape is not a legitimate topic of discussion?

Also, you can have a different opinion on ATOT and still avoid being a troll. You just have to package your opinion in the correct way. Most people here will recognize an attempt at a good-mannered argument. In the same light, most people will also recognize an attempt at reactionary, baseless arguments.

So, in conclusion, work on your debate skills and learn to process your thoughts in a more mannered fashion with a higher degree of intelligence. After that, anyone calling you a troll simply cannot refute you and is conceding.

Very True. If an honest effort is made to present the secondary side of an argument, usually it is met well, while blatent uneducated remarks will usually ruffle everyone's tailfeathers...

However, it is occasionaly interesting to see the other side of the argument. Usually once a mainstream statement is made, everyone falls in line on the bandwagon. It just seems to me that 90% of the posts on OT are just echoes of the first "mainstream" post, requiring little to no thought processes in their post.

THINK FOR YOURSELF PEOPLE.

That is all-

or, maybe I'm just an outcast who thinks our country has its' priorities ass-backwards...

It's difficult if you're from outside of the US and you dare question the US way of life. To them, many people all showing 'pwnd!!11!!!one!!!1!!" over some minor typo or something constitues an argument on their part that negates yours.

Where is the racism? It was my observation that both liberals and conservatives alike were very quick to blame the predominently black, & poor people trapped in NO for the situation they found themselves in. My comment is a sarcastic indictment of the kind of racism practiced by certain people on P&N.

Shame would be a more appropriate emotion, along with a burning desire to do better in the future. :)

to a large extent, I don't really think that's true at all, though of course there are isolated exceptions.

Apparently anyone who doesn't believe in vigilante justice for child killers is now a 'moron' and 'troll'. :disgust:

THis post was spawned by your comment in that thread.... when someone expresses a different opinion for the express purpose of getting people riled up and crazy, then yes, that is trolling

I expressed my opinion for the express purpose of expressing my opinion. Who on Earth do you think you are, to claim to know what my motivations are in making a post of that topic?

I disagree. My opinions are often unpopular here. The difference is, I will discuss them in a reasonable manner. I don't just blurt them out to get a rise from people.

I've never been called a "troll" on this board for giving an unpopular opinion.

Its pretty easy to arrive at that conclusion.. when someone consistently expresses the opposite opinion of people on multiple issues, they are either being rebellious on purpose, or they are just really really different, its obvious fthat this post was meant as attention, so its easy to arrive at that conclusion

By the way, I wouldnt keep mentioning your stance in the rape/male rape/child molestation threads..... it really makes it seem like youve had some direct instance where you could relate to those people.....

if ANYONE can defend someone who molests a child, I think they are somewhat messed up in the head... there is no defense, I dont think we should all go around killing them, but they should have been locked up indefinitely at the least.

No... explaining your view rather than just spitting it out in a manner that will obviously cause people to react..... if you take the time to explain why you feel a certain way and how you arrived at your opinion it looks less like a one line troll post....

maybe, just maybe, your "differing opinion" has nothing to do with it. maybe its the fact that you pluck out parts of others posts that you can speak to, while totally ignoring completely valid viewpoints that they may have. add in many assumptions and generalizations, and there you have it.

and that fvking smiley after being a smartass knowitall doesnt help either.:)
