Something is wrong with my new e6300 and ECS P4M800PRO-M

This thing runs and benches like my X2 3800 !

I only get 40 seconds on 1m superpi @2 ghz (1988 actually) Using OCZ PC5400 Enhanced latency Gold version. Newest drivers, etc... 284 FSB is all it will do. Not even close to the rated 333. I know the board is a crap OC'er, but at 2 ghz Duvie got 30 seconds on a 6300 he is setting up for a friend. For now I just want it to perform like a 6300 should @ 2 ghz.

Any ideas ????

I assumed you got the newest VIA 4in1 drivers?

BTW, its not rated at 333, it walls at 300, usually high 200s, so 284 isn't that far off from the top. This is actually an older Via chipset, not the one the VSTA uses, to my knowledge that has been hot-patched for Core2 compatibility.

Can't say much otherwise; you basically got a E6300 for the price of an E6300 + cheapo board.

I knew that when I bought it (cheap) but its not running as fast as a regular 6300 ! Yes, latest drivers. I paid $169 for the pair, and thats the checpest you can even get a 6300 for, so not worried, but I want at least stock performance.

Next test: Cinebench 9.5 591/37 seconds for the 6300@2 ghz,
553/40 seconds for the X2 3800 @ stock

It looks like the superpi is way off for some resean, but Duvie ran his 6300 on cinebench 9.5 and got 596 (almost the same as me)
