I'm getting nervous that my computer is about to die. It has been having random problems throughout the last few weeks. First off, it had a random blue screen restart. Then nothing for a week after that. Maybe I was imagining it, but I thought that I heard the hard drive making louder noise than usual, so I tested the hdd with Speedfan and it said the hard drive was in great condition. Also, I tested the hdd with SMART in the bios and it passed the test with no errors. Lastly, it just now turned off during boot. Then I rebooted and everything went normal. I definitely want to fix this before it gets bad.

Specs:
amd64 3000+ winchester
x800xl 256mb
2x512mb corsair pc4400
250gb wd 16mb cache
ati hdtv wonder
coolermaster stacker
2005fpw

If you guys have any tests I can do that would be great.

My psu is an ocz powerstream 520w

In the event viewer, I am seeing some errors in "Service Control Manager" "DCOM - Network Service"

When the computer turned off today it appears to be the Error with the Service Control Manager.

Run chkdsk; my parents' computer had wierd problems like that because it kept overheating (threshold was set too low when summer set in) and shutting down randomly, cause strange things on the HDD leading to blue screens.

Monitor your voltages from your bios and make sure everything is in line. I had an MSI motherboard with simililar problems, and it turned out the cpu voltage was like .5V lower than what I would set it at.
