We might be visiting AZ soon for a few days.
Any reasonably priced hotels you'd recommend in Phoenix, Tempe or Scottsdale?

If you have time you should go visit Sedona.

My dad runs a beat down Motel 8. I'm sure he'd let you stay for a "favor", if you know what I mean.![]()

We may go to Flagstaff this weekend. Are the leaves changing yet?
My wife moved out here for me 2 years ago, and absolutely hates AZ. (And she makes some good points.) I've been here 10 years, and can't think of anything neat to show her. We've done the obvious (Sedona, Grand Canyon, etc.), but other than nature or scenery, what is neat about Phoenix? There's not an exciting downtown to go to, like Chicago or New York. There's no attractions. No amusement parks. No history. I think we're moving soon.![]()

Care to share? And no nature stuff (hiking, camping, rock climbing, etc.). We do that all the time, and can do that back east too. What's fun about Arizona. Oh, and we've done the Biosphere....not too cool.
