Holy shit that's a lot of crows. At my apartment in college there were a lot of big crows in the tree at the end of the lot, I thought that was a lot, but wow.

Yeah we have nightly migrations like that all the time in some parts of Vancouver.

I see a murder of crows fly by False Creek / Granville Island every night from our condo, though not as many as in the youtube video.

OP, my first thought was also St. Elmo's Fire, but I really don't have a clue.
