Something I have noticed a LOT lately...

And I will NOT name names. --I'm sure many others have noticed.

Lately, there seem to be QUITE a few members and even junior members, who are TOTALLY unrecognized names coming out of the woodwork to attack our most respected, venerated, and protected members. --ESPECIALLY the women. Specifically, I have seen GirlFirday attacked, Isla attacked, myself attacked, and many others. I am a VERY regular reader/poster here, from way back in the day, and this is truly something I have not seen like I have lately. I'm wondering what it's all about? TO ME, it seems the way we work things around here is, when you decide to join, (HOPEFULLY after some careful, substantial lurking), you introduce yourself, let us all know your intentions, and work your way into the community. Only after you are RECOGNIZED should you start thinking you have the right to attack people here. Right?
Because, honestly, if this is news to you, and you have been involved in this attacking of our highly regarded women (ESPECIALLY, I say again, the women here), you have SERIOUSLY f@cked over any chance you ever had of being accepted here. Attacking GirlFriday will NOT earn you a SINGLE friend on this board, and believe me, enemies here die a lonely lonely death.
So, the theme is PEACE. Just chill here.... get a feel for how it works here. SETTLE DOWN. Can I get an amen?

I for one would have had a nice time flaming their respective asses had I witnessed it.

We tend to be a close-knit group, it's just a matter of people actually SEEING the attacks. I don't read every thread, as I'm sure many people don't.

I took a blindside fron a Junior Member who accused me of "using others to build a system because I was too lazy to look at prices myself" Hmmm.... strange since the system I speced out was an example of what can be bought $1,000 and included prices. Then out of no where he takes a shot at my sig without knowing the origins. Later in the day I was hit again by someone accusing me of "flaunting my work title" in a post where I said I "work on servers"

I know Viper took a shot from someone that attacked his qualifications without knowing what he actually does for a living. Just tonight someone accused Red Dawn of a few things.

Another thing I've noticed...not only are these lower members ATTACKING people, but they are also arguing with the more respected members, LONG LONG after everyone tells them they should just quite, because EVERYONE now thinks they are fools. I don't get it. When you tell a joke, and a few people laugh, you may want to tell another. --But when you tell a joke and EVERYONE tells you you are an un-funny loser, you WILL NOT, in real life tell another. SO what's different here?
Also, these little guys have been fighting other people's fights. --Joining in with each other to tag-team the rest of the forum. WTF? Do you REALLY think there is strength in numbers? Remember, strength in numbers is dependant on strength of the individual times # of people. If you have established NO STRENGTH here on the forums, you gotta remember, 0 x x equals ZERO, no matter HOW BIG x is! Right?

I've wondered before if some of the people who mysteriously get "friends" on the board to help them in an argument haven't just set up another account. What better way to look like you have support than have people argue on your side.

I hear ya, GF. I have never spoken to you, and never participated alongside you, but this time was just too much. Let me say, for what it's worth, I admire the HELL out of you, possibly more than I do any other member on this board. You are a beautiful, strong, responsible, encouraging, sunny person, and though I have been quiet about it up to now, you have inspired me with your presence. Beautiful kids, too. You are blessed. --And we are all behind you here. You remember that when someone attacks you like that. WE ARE ALL on YOUR side. Anyone who is not will not be allowed to stick around for long.

Even though we may be well able to stand up for ourselves, it's always nice to have you guys' support behind us. It really is appreciated. It helps us defend ourselves, and it makes us feel good to know that there are people that we can count on

I myself, am relatively new here and have my own opinions. I myself try not to step on any toes, yet I myself tend not to walk so softly as walking on glass when it comes to specific issues. Yet I am to the point of believing that most of the members who flame, Know not much of what life experience can teach them. Whoa... I'm long winded. I am also of the firm belief that a person should stand up and be heard. With that said, I've been heard. Thanks for listening guys....Whew!!!
