Quoting from a recent review:
The HX620W PSU has three 12V outputs (+12V1, +12V2, and +12V3) that can deliver up to 50A total (600 watts) on the 12V rails.

So they are saying that this PS can deliver 50A on the 12V rails alone. But standard household circuits are 15A...maybe 20 max for a regular outlet. So how can a PS deliver 50-100A total power on a 15A line?

I=V/R.

Power from the wall socket is at a pressure of 120 or 240 volts.

Dismissing differences in efficiency, 10 amperes at 120 volts can translate to 100 amperes at 12 volts.

Wattage or actual power is the product of voltage and current. So if you multiply those values the wattage is the same.
