Something happened when I flashed my Radeon 8500 bios, now I can't fix it!

Okay, here's some background information:

I bought a Radeon 8500LE about 5 months ago from Newegg.

Being the uber-cool hardware person that I am (read sarcasm), I decided to update my bios to the retail bios.

Everything was cool, it worked great!

Fast forward to about 2 weeks ago.

I picked up a 17" LCD with DVI from Dell. I go to hook it up to my Radeon's DVI port and guess what, it didn't work!

I do a little homework and discover that this is because I flashed from an OEM LE bios to a retail bios.

No problem, I'll just flash back.

This is where things go bad. I flashed and everything on my screen was garbled junk! In DVI and VGA mode! I was like "aww crap!".

So I decided to flash back the retail bios and screw using the DVI port. This is where things get really screwy.

I flashed back to the retail bios and I get a bunch of vertical lines throughout the screen on post and into the windows splash screen. When I get into windows XP, however there are no lines! It looks just fine, but the OS only says that my video card has 32MB of RAM.

So I'm like "aww crap!" again. I decided to try a different bios and it won't flash. It says that it flashed, but nothing changes (the bios number is still the same according to WinXP). Arg...

Any suggestions on flashing it? I'm sure I'm doing it correctly. Could a bad bios have permenantly screwed up my video card?

I need some help here. I need to decide whether or not to buy a new vid card. The thing is that my games are working fine. I ran 3dmark2k1 for about 1.5 days straight with seti running at the same time.

Here are my computer specs:
P4 2.4 533
Intel Blue Mountain 2 mobo
256mb Crucial DDR Ram
350watt antec PSU

I need help!

Thanks,

No one has a guess? Oh, come on!

I'd try on the rage3d forums, but the site seems to be down right now.
