So i built my new gaming rig below, and was workin fine for a couple of weeks then it randomly shut off and wouldnt start, no post beeps or codes except for 8 and 88 so i took everything out and tried it, same thing. So i RMA'd the mobo got it today and put just the cpu, 1 stick of ram, and 1 video card and tried it. It booted and gave me a error of f7 or f8 but no post beeps, so i shut down and tried restarting and now the board is back to where it was before i RMA's it.

well i got a update i got out my old socket 472 mobo and tested it wth an old psu and my current and both worked like a charm. This leads me to believe that either the cpu, video card, or memory is bad. i no 1/2 the memory is good from testing and will test the other 1/2 later. i have my money on the cpu causing the damage but not totally sure. Also could a bad video card or cpu cause the mobo to frie?

Have you done a search to find out what the error codes mean? If you do, it could save you a ton of trial and error swapping parts.

The code means nothing because theres no post beeps or anything. Sometimes the error code is all messed the board is not responding at all=fried
