Hi Gang,

Everythime I want to edit something (copy, delete, cut...) or if I am just right clicking to get proprties, I have to wait a 2-4 second while my floppy makes some noise. (I guess the system or OS are checking something).

any ideas ? it's slowing me down...

I am using Win 2000, no Anti virus.
Dell XPS R 400 PII, 256 MB RAM.

thanks

Look in your Start Menu and Documents and see if there are any documents there that are referenced for the A: drive.

If so clear the documents menu (right click task bar, properties, clear).
