Something changed and now WinXP loads my wireless card last

Montano

Not sure what happened but in re-installing my wireless card dirvers, a change was made by Windows to not load the drivers till a good minute after the computer boots up. So now I have to sit in front of my computer and wait till my wireless card is started by windows.

Anything I can do to have it load these drivers first ?

hmm....i wonder what network services your computer might be hanging on....
try disabling your wireless, and reboot, and see if it comes up quicker
also, check msconfig, and see what startup programs are in there

Thanks for the help.

My computer boots up fine. It's just that it takes a good minute for the wireless card to kick in, after it boots up. So I'm not sure what disabling the wireless card will do ?

my idea was to see why the logon-serv is taking 39 seconds.
if you can eliminate whatever is hanging, it would help you start to hack away at the problem

i don't exactally remember the name of the program, but if i recall, there are programs that let you choose boot order of all things. do a search in PC Worldand i think it might help.
