<yawn>I meant Tech Review<yawn>
Tech Review, sorry (I screwed up before)and Tom's hardware should Marry Each other. They're both BIG advertisements for each other!
<Flame Suit on>
I'm ranting, and have some personal experience as well.....
Edit- WTF is this guy on?? I'm not a huge AMD fan either, but he's gotta be deliberately making these systems crash, or something. My first move out of the S7 world was a K7-500 (KA-7), and my PSU was only a 235 watt ATX, and I had an ATI AIW128, then moved up to a Ge-Force2 card, and a 3com Nic. NEVER Overheated, had a few lock-ups during the original setup, but it was stable after that.
Who puts all their cards in at once anyway?? you're asking for trouble doing that on a VIA board, IMHO.
What a Dou$hebag. I'm an Intel and Apple freak too, but c'mon........
My current main rig is an AMD (Based on budget) and it's stable, I knew the few little workarounds of the VIA Chipset for my hardware, which only means I DID MY HOMEWORK!!
These are also the people at TechReview.com who think $199 at Tiger Direct is a good deal for a Retail 1.2gig T-Bird, and that buyers should be skeptical of anyplace that sells 'em for less.
