im looking for a hard case for my ibanez ax1220, and all the cheapest cases on ebay seem to be the strat/tele cases, i was wondering if mines going to fit in there... how wide are they? (none of the auctions, which all seem to be from two people say how wide they are) my ibanez is almost 13.5 inches at the widest part, aobut 9.5 inches at the arm things at the base of the neck, and almost 39 inches long... will it fit?

telecaster/stratocaster, the guitar, im looking for a hardshell case for my ibanez 1220 electric guitar, the fattest parts at teh bottom is 13.5 inches or so, the next biggest part is about 9.5 inches, its about 2 inches thick and its almost 39 inches long, i wanna know how this compares to a telecaster/stratocaster and wether it'll fit into a case for one of them, i cant find the measurements online anywhere... so i thought id come here, so... anyone know...

Not sure about the dimensions.. but I have a Fender American HM strat, same shape as a strat, just different pickups. I have an Ibanez hard case that the guy at the music shop gave to me when I bought it and it fits fine. I would say your guitar should fit fine in a strat case.

ive not encountered an ibanez bodies that wouldnt fit into any standard case like that.
assuming the case isnt designed for some crazy-styled body, you should be fine.
no?

the only reason im asking is because the ax series all seem to be quite a bit wider at the bottom than most guitars, hmm, i'll look later i guess, time to go hit some balls at the range now though

BTW, you could try taking your guitar into a music store and ask to look at a hardshell case for a strat to see if it will fit.
