I have a server/client setup using nics and a crossover cable.
The problem is in the printer settings concerning spool settings.
I had it printing part of a page and stopping and rinning every
sheet of paper through...blank. Then I got a message instructing
an increase in timeout settings. I've screwed with it so much now
that I'm at a point where it would probably be best to start over.

Epson Stylus color 400 is connected to server.
Thanks

Which OS are u running on both the server and the client?

Normally all you need to do for printer sharing is:
1) setup your network so files can be shared
2) simply right click on the printer and select share
3) install the printer on the client machine as a network printer

I'm running Windows 98se on the server and Windows 98 on the client.
I'm going to remove and reinstall printers and keep it as simple as
possible. What port do I direct the client printer to. Just enter the
name of the server?

After you have setup the printer on your server and set it to share, go to your client's PC and "Add new Printer"... at the next screen choose "Network Printer" instead of local... it will take you through the process step-by-step, should be quite straight-forward...
