Someone used my wife's lappy and now it asks for the Office install CD whenever you start it.

Seems to me there is a fix (and no, I have no idea where that CD is right at this moment)

Ideas?

ah, that happened to a laptop I worked on once. maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling office.

That may be hard to do without the CD!

One thing you might want to try is if you are running Windows XP is, do a "system restore" to a date just prior to lending the lappy out.

Find the CD, put it in, run setup, change anyhthing that is currently "install from CD" to "run from disk" or "not available".
