I was charged this twice in 2 weeks...WTF?

I havent used my credit card in months and I definitely havent bought anyting from US or UK lately ( i live in canada).

for those of you that wanan know...i didnt subscribe to some porn site...atleast not one that charges me $45 US!!!

I called that number and it was unavailable.

Can someone in the US try calling that for me?

I already called my visa company and they are gonna check it...i've also ordered the receipts soi know who is taking my money..

this is pissing me off..

call CC company, dispute charge, tell them you need a new card and previous number was probably stolen, all is well.

It's a quick solution. Most banks seem pretty fast to believe you and drop the charge while giving you a new number. I had a entire computer purchased online and shipped to kentucky (I live in Seattle) and BofA had me a new card in a week with the charge for the comp dropped. It happens. I had to have the credit agencies put a fraud alert on my account just in case someone tries to rip me off again.

Stop handing out your CC for pr0n trial memberships

Seriously, if you've given out your card number to shady companies, not much you can do except change the number and be more careful where you make purchases.

(and dispute the charge of course, but if you leave the account open as-is more chargelarity will ensue.)

It's fake. I had an unauthorized charge from the UK disputed. I don't know how they got my cc number but I had it closed and the charges reversed.

I've had only one authorized transaction, but MBNA handled it efficiently. Gave money back, gave new card.
