but hey...thats what moddings all about, right?

besides what acemcmac said, windows suck anyway. the only people who might appreciate it is your dorky friends and who cares about them anyway. lights suck too. ricing your car or ricing your case, it's unprofessional, inelegant, and tacky.

The only mods I have to my P160 is the 2 tri-color LED 120mm fans, 2 tubes (1 blue 1 red and I hardly ever turn them on), and a fan/light controller. Simple and it doesn't ghey up my case.
To me, a plain looking is just too ugly. Like those older chieftech/antec cases. Not to mention they weigh a ton.
As for cars, I would never put lights on the outside of my car. I would also be very picky on my body kit if there is ever a reason to put one on.

But wouldn't it be hard to see in the dark if you got rid of your headlights? ;)

was thinking about an antec slk3000b. it's about $50.

but when I saw the P180 today at Frys, I was like holy sh1t, I want that.

Microcenter will have the case onsale for $120 plus tax on jan 1st. I have 3 days to change my mind. someone please talk me out of it as spending more than $120 on a case is rather, well, excessive. I've never paid more than $60 for a case. I don't know, you guys feel like talking me out of it? alternatives?

thanks
Why a POS board? Who buys from assrock anyways... Get a decent board, otherwise you mind as well get a budget case and all...

and a window would defeat the whole point of a silent case. the worst noisiest cases are the ones with freakin windows. theres no noise dampening at all with that. and yes really who cares anymore about looking into your case, thats so old and tacky now. pc should be silent, tasteful and powerful.

the asrock isn't a bad board. it's just a cheap asus. plus it runs both agp and pcie.

Anyways, the Lian Li PC-V Plus series are much better cases.

Here is my pick.

looking at how they animate their airflow i'm not sure they hired a thermo engineer to design it. it exhausts hot air right next to where it intakes air for the vga?

i think only apple has ever spent serious time and effort thinking about thermal design.

Thats why I sit on the outside of my computer - so I don't need a window on the side.

Buy a Sonata II, comes with an Antec 450W PSU, it's cheaper, it's quiet, and you don't have to worry about cable lengths being too short.
