So we have this shared drive at our school that only the teachers can access. They use it for passing out files that we need for projects on the computer. Well, everyone has full read/scan access to it so we were looking around at the last period in the day because we were done. It turns out, someone has quite a stockpile of music files ranging from Christian Rock to Rap. So I scroll down and look at the file names. I notice some are misspelled and I think, Hmm, thats odd. I pull up the properties page and guess what's in the summary box.
"R!pped by......(I forget the name, but it was written in 1337) ..." A bunch of the files have different names in the box so I know it wasn't just one person. Then I notice the Morpheus updates in the folder. Any idea of what I should do?

Cliff notes
1)Browsing student sharing directory
2)Found a bunch of illegaly download music
3)Names are kept of who created the file on the network first
4)What should I do?

How do you know the person/s who put them on the network is the same person/s who ripped the files?

They're not. The computers tag all the files you create with your name.

THE WINNER.

Schools are notoriously retarded for this kind of stuff. If you report it, they'll accuse you of everything from putting the files there yourself to "Infesting the School Network with a Malicious Virus and Illegally Sharing Copyrighted Music." Caps important to emphasize the overblown hype they'll put on it.
