Someone sum up the current mobile CPU market for me please!

Haven't followed the hardware news for a while, so since now I am in the market for a new laptop I thought it would be nice to read a few articles about it. Well, it turns out Anandtech really don't do much reviews...and Tom's hardware...well, I've been avoiding them for years. So could someone please sum up the current market? List of specs maybe?

And what's the difference? I think mine is a regular desktop P4....how do I know if it's HT or not?

if your P4 is below 2.8GHz, it is a Non HT chip.
